“This part of the collection is my love letter to Dutch landscapes. In 1988 I made rhythmic sketches inspired by trees, crops, fields and particularly the sea by the beach resort of Noordwijk. This marked the start of my research to rhythms, my journey into movement and cadence. These straight lined structures have made an impression on me since my youth and inspired me throughout my career. In Dutch Rhythms this is translated into T-shaped repetitions.”
